Cultural Strategist and Producer. Artist. Curator. Educator. Minimalist.
Midwest born and raised, aryn is a curator, artist, and cultural strategist. She studied and practiced art at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, earning a BFA in photography in 2011, following a formal education in liberal arts.
Since 2009, aryn has curated numerous exhibitions in Illinois, Wisconsin, and New York, working independently and collaboratively with artists of all disciplines.
In 2015, she co-founded Generous Magazine, a Milwaukee-based annual publication (2015–2017) aimed at platforming new, risk-taking work and fostering diverse discourse in the arts community.
She has held roles at High Desert Test Sites (Joshua Tree, CA), Dia Art Foundation at Dia:Beacon (Beacon, NY), the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Division of the Arts (Madison, WI), the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, the Haggerty Museum of Art (Milwaukee, WI), The Pitch Project Gallery & Artists Studios, and the Milwaukee Art Museum (Milwaukee, WI).
aryn currently lives in Joshua Tree, California and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
