e.e. cummings, six nonlectures:

"I was marvellously lucky to touch and seize a rising and striving world; a reckless world, filled with the curiosity of life herself; a vivid and violent world welcoming every challenge; a world worth hating and adoring and fighting and forgiving: in brief, a world which was a world."

At times when life becomes harder to bear, and the world - outside and inside - seems to be pushing against me, it is often difficult to remember that maybe tomorrow will not seem so rough, that perhaps today will reach a bearable or even elated state, and that the world which is a world is worth the challenge of loving.
